SAPA - MÙ CĂNG CHẢI TREKKING TOUR

(5Days 4Nights)

Day 1:  Hanoi – Yen Bai city - Nghia Lo ( L, D)

   7am: Our guide will pick-up you at hotel. Start journey to Nghia Lo, Yen Bai.

   On the road, we will visit in Suoi Giang Commune, Van Chan district to admire the hundreds of years old – ancient tea trees, which make up the specialty Tea San Snow. The wild tea trees growing in the high mountains, plus a cool climate all year round haze tea flavor in particular. We have lunch at here. Then leave Suoi Giang, continue going to Nghia Lo. 

   Arrive at Nghia Lo town, check in our homestay at a peaceful village of Thai people. Rest on a traditional stilt house. In the afternoon, we embark on a bicycling tour to discover the daily life of the ethnic community in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of villages, rice fields or enjoy the Hot Spring.

   Dinner and overnight at the homestay.

Day 2: Nghia Lo - Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai - trekking around villages  (B, L, D)

   You will be surprise before the wonderful rice terrace belong the route from Tu Le - Mù Cang Chải.

   Run over the Khau Pha pass (one of the four greatest passes in Northern Vietnam with 40km, connect Tu Le and Mu Cang Chai).  We’ll cross Tu Le town, you’ll have chance to see the interesting activities of Thai women in Tu Le making the “Com – green rice” – the famous special product of Tu Le belong your road in the harvest season. Most scenic roads which offer a lot of stops for picturing as the view point to see the Lim Mong, Lim Thai village or paragliding-point on the top of this pass. 

   Enjoy trekking tours around La Pan Tan commune, explore the life & musical of Mong people.

   Continue trekking from La Pan Tan village to enjoy Mam Xoi rice terrace of H’mong people in Mu Cang Chai. Lunch is served along trekking path.

    Visit some schools or playing game and touch with children. Beside seeing the beauty of Rice field, you’ll guided how to plant rice, harvest rice or discover the farm working of locals. It will be exciting experience. Enjoy stunning landscapes along the way, the stunning views of countryside and nature, visit local villages, experience daily life of hill tribe people, how to make traditional clothes or H’mong people…

   Sleeping at Homestay at Mu Cang Chai

   Note: 3- hour drive & 3-4 hour light trek

Day 3: Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen – Sapa (B, L, D)

   Morning: Have breakfast and continue trekking a half day to explore more the ethnic village around Mu Cang Chai.

   Afternoon: The car will drive you to Sapa, pass over O Quy Ho pass, one of the four greatest passes in Vietnam where you can enjoy fresh and cool air and nice landscapes.  …It will be unforgettable experience.

   Stay hotel at Sapa town.

Day 4: Trekking Giang Ta Chai – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)

   Have breakfast at hotel then check out and start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing.

   After this you continue to Ta Van Village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses were built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.

   Overnight at homestay.

Day 5: Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa – Nigh train to Hanoi (B, L) 

    After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dzao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend.We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su Pan where you will meet the jeep and transfer back to Sapa. We are free until transfer to the Lao Cai station for a night train to Hanoi.
